MIRI: A vacant house at Jalan Ocean Park Luak here caught fire in the early hours of yesterday morning.
According to the State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operation centre, a team of firefighters of Miri Central fire station was despatched to the scene after a call on the incident was received at 2.51am.
Upon arrival, the 30×30 square feet house was nearly destroyed with an estimated damage of 70 percent.
The firemen managed to fully extinguish the flames at 4.23am.
It was reported that the fire only involved the roof and the case is still being investigated.
