KUCHING: The various television programmes broadcast on TVS have their own uniqueness compared to the content available on other stations.

Sarawak Media Group (SMG) chief executive officer Suhaimi Sulaiman said many of the television programmes found on the channel were exclusive to TVS and not available on other television stations.

“So far, TVS has six main programmes as well as several other programmes that are broadcast live.

“Since TVS aired, we have received many positive feedback and responses from viewers throughout the state, including from Sabah and West Malaysia.”

Suhaimi said this in an interview with New Sarawak Tribune at TVS Office here on Thursday (Oct 15).

He said one of the most well-received television show on TVS was a documentary series called Rezeki Air – which showcased the livelihood of local people who depended on river produce.

He added the 12-episode documentary series was directed by a local young talent, Sylvester William Awat.

Apart from that, he said other programmes also in the pipeline included more business segments, programmes to promote reading culture and many others.

“These programmes are relevant and relatable to the culture of today’s society.

“We also received some suggestions from the audience on the addition of some new programmes. We will look closely into all these suggestions in order to produce television programmes that are not only interesting but able to inspire the community.”
