KUCHING: People are generally glad that the Covid-19 self-test kits will soon be cheaper. They hope that the price will remain low for the sake of poor families.
On Sept 25, Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Datuk Rosol Wahid revealed that the price of the kit would be reduced by the end of this month so that parents could carry out screening tests on their children before the new school session began on Oct 3.
Rosol added that the new price of the kit would be announced soon.

Reducing the price of the Covid-19 self-test kit is a wise and good move. It will help families who have been badly hit by the pandemic, especially those in the B40 group. More parents will be able to afford it and use it to screen their children.

It is better to reduce the price of this Covid-19 self-test kit before the school session begins. The government initiative is good for parents who have many children in school. If the price is still high, some parents may not be able to afford it.

It is good that the price of the Covid-19 self-test kit will be reduced. Some parents cannot afford to buy the kit if it is sold at a high price.
