KUCHING: A man was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment by the Magistrate’s Court here on Wednesday (Feb 16) for intentionally causing hurt to his brother-in-law last October.
Mohamad Azhar Rabaie, 33, pleaded guilty to committing the offence, punishable under Section 323 of the Penal Code.
The charge was read to him before magistrate Syarifah Fatimah Azura Wan Ali.
He was charged with punching his 43-year-old brother-in-law at Semariang Borneo Garden at 10.28am last Oct 19.
If found guilty, he could be jailed for up to one year or fined up to RM2,000 or both.
