SIBU: A motivational talk to boost self-esteem will be organised on Oct 2, here.

The programme, organised by the Lions Club International 308-A2 Region 2, Region 3, and district governor Kapitan Connie Loh, will feature a prominent speaker in China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, Goh Siok Boon.

According to the organising chairperson, Louis Ting Hui Ling in a press conference yesterday, the topic for the talk is “How to Achieve the Best Version of You”.

He said that Goh is a renowned lecturer with 22 years’ experience in giving talks and would usually charge high fees for his lectures.

“So, I hope that everyone should catch this opportunity to participate in this talk which will be held in the Mandarin language. I hope that through this talk, more people can be inspired.

“Also, this talk can encourage more people to actively participate in clubs and community services, and each organisation introduces the purpose, goals, and service so that more people can learn about each club and organisation,” he said.

Ting also noted the ticket for the talk would be RM10 for students while RM30 for adults and they are expecting around 300 to 500 crowd to attend the event.

“All proceeds of the tickets sold will be used for charity,” he said.

Ting also expressed his gratitude to the past district governor, Datuk Lawrence Ting, for arranging for the speaker to provide free lectures and reimburse airfare expenses.
