KUCHING: The Progressive Democratic Party (PDP) hosted a Media Night called “Masquerade” for members of various media organisations last Saturday night.
AirAsia was among the companies that supported the event held at Alfresco Wine and Dine Restaurant and attended by more than 100 media practitioners.
PDP president Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing said that the event was a way for the party to thank the media practitioners for their news coverage.
“Thank you to all the media, we look forward to continue working closely with you,” said Tiong, who also sang two Chinese songs for the objects of his speech.
Members of the media also enjoyed taking part in several lucky draws for which the prizes were a television, oven, car engine oil, air purifier and luggage, air tickets for trips to Osaka (Japan), Jeju Island (Korea), Shenzhen (China), Hanoi (Vietnam), Bali (Indonesia), and Redang Island (Terengganu).
Also present that night were Assistant Minister of Local Government Datuk Dr Penguang Manggil, PDP secretary-general Datuk Nelson Balang Rining, and Air Asia Head Berhad of Government Communication Hamdan Mohamad.
