Gal Gadot, Ashley Graham and Adwoa Aboah have joined forces for a candid new beauty campaign. The Hollywood actress and two supermodels are joined by model Eniola Abioro for Revlon’s new campaign, dubbed ‘I Can. So I Did’. The concept sees the makeup label’s four brand ambassadors test out its new ‘PhotoReady Candid’ skin-enhancing foundation, which contains antioxidants and anti-pollution Vitamin E, anti-blue light ingredients, and a paraben, phthalate, oil and fragrance-free formula.

The campaign, which was shot by photographer Mario Sorrenti, aims to encourage women to love their natural look.

“Our goal with ‘I Can. So I Did.’ is to inspire and spark a conversation where women are encouraged to be candid and unapologetic,” said Silvia Galfo, Revlon Global Brand President, in a statement. “We want to give women the confidence to be themselves and turn their potential into achievement – big or small – and motivate others to live boldly and hold nothing back.”

The move follows a high-profile product collaboration between Revlon and Aboah, whose Gurls Talk mental health platform released three makeup kits with the cosmetics giant earlier this month.

Socially-aware campaigns are currently big business in the beauty industry, with multiple brands using product launches as a means to tackle community issues. Skincare brand L’Occitane en Provence unveiled a brand new US campaign this week featuring 10 of its employees, as a celebration of “every woman’s true authenticity, vulnerability, and inner beauty”, while Benefit Cosmetics’ latest ‘Boss Brows’ launch shone a spotlight on people fighting for social causes. UK brand Rimmel hit the headlines back in November, when it signed up Cara Delevingne and Rita Ora to star in its new anti-bullying video campaign, ‘#Iwillnotbedeleted’. – Relaxnews
