KUCHING: The people of Kampung Bintangor Ragup are very glad that Sungai Bintangor Bridge at Jalan Datuk Ajibah Abol is being upgraded.

The project which started at the end of last year will improve traffic flow and serve as an alternative route for many people in and around the area.

Many of the residents are confident that the development would bring about socio-economic benefits.

Others are just proud of the bridge as it would be a concrete sign of development and a major landmark in Satok area.

Other development projects have been implemented in and around the village and the bridge is one which would definitely speed up the movement of vehicular traffic.

It is expected that among those who will benefit from the development are those in the tourism sector because the area happens to be attractive to tourists from outside Sarawak.

As for the locals, they would surely appreciate the bridge as it would ease travel to nearby villages as well as ease their commute to and from other parts of the city.
