KUCHING: SMK Batu Lintang here has received an allocation of RM75,400 from the Bandar Kuching Parliamentary Service Centre to upgrade the school’s library and slope parking spaces.

MP Bandar Kuching Dr Kelvin Yii Lee Wuen said that the wall between the main room and small multipurpose room in the library has been damaged by termites.

“Besides that, the air conditioning unit in the small multi-purpose room and in the main room of the existing library were also broken and not functioning,” he said through a post on Facebook on today.

He also said that the allocation would also be used to upgrade the parking space at the school.

“It is important because the parking spaces available at the moment are very limited, causing school staff to park their vehicles at other areas which are not very suitable and could block other vehicles too,” he said.

Therefore, he said that as per request of the school, his office agreed to donate that amount to upgrade the facility.
