KUCHING: Trendy lanyards for face masks, anyone?

A civil society, The Sarawak Initiatives (TSI), in collaboration with Kuching Autistic Association (KAA) has produced 100 such lanyards.

The lanyards were exquisitely crafted by hand, thanks to the creative people from KAA. Each is sold at RM18.

The lanyard project is part of a fund-raising effort for TSI’s existing and upcoming activities.

Present at a simple ceremony to receive the lanyards were KAA president Dr Catherine Chen and TSI working committee.

TSI said KAA students’ involvement in the initiative had proven that despite the challenges faced by the students, people living with autism could contribute to society if given the opportunity.

“The lanyards, which were conceptualised by the students from ideas to designs and finally creation to end goods, proved this.

“With such encouragement, it will without doubt become a catalyst for personal growth and achievement for the students of KAA; that their contributions are helping the holistic growth of Sarawak,” TSI said in a statement.
