Anyi offers one-off assistance for students

SIBU: Students in the Ngemah constituency have been urged to apply for a one-off education assistance through the Ngemah Service Centre.

The call came from Ngemah assemblyman, Anyi Jana, at the Majlis Ngiling Bidai Gereja Methodist Sibu Jaya yesterday.

According to Anyi, an education fund has been set aside to help students in the constituency to further their studies at a higher level.

“However, the allocation is only open to those father or mother is from the constituency and they need to submit their study offer letter when they apply for the assistance,” he said.

“The fund is given on a one-off basis as I told you earlier, for diploma studies- RM500, for degree – RM1,000 and masters’ – RM1,500,” he said.

Apart from that Anyi also said that an education incentive is available to those who excelled in their SPM examination.

“For SPM graduates who obtained 4A and above, they can send a copy of their result slips to apply for the incentive,” he said.

Meanwhile, on the event, Anyi said that the organisation of such a programme is very much in line with the church’s goal to strengthen the relationship between the members, especially in Gereja Methodist Iban Sibu Jaya.

Anyi promised that he will try to assist the church by channeling funds for them to carry out their annual activities.
