MIRI: The Civil Defence Force (APM) successfully rescued a stray dog that was trapped in a drain at Piasau Estate yesterday morning (April 20).

According to a spokesperson from APM, the incident was reported by a 39-year-old man, and a three-member team was immediately deployed to the scene.

The complainant had heard whining in the area and discovered the canine inside the drain.

The team was able to quickly lure the dog out of the drain using food and safely carry it to the road.

After releasing the dog back into its habitat, the APM team concluded their operation at 9.10 am.
