MIRI: The Civil Defence Force (APM) does not confine its tasks to only rescue duties, providing protection, and humanitarian services during disasters and emergencies.

This morning (Jan 10) the Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) helped save a dog stuck in the front gate of a house in Jalan Lim Chee Hian, here.

Officer in-charge Lt Mirwan Shah Masri said APM was altered to the incident at 11.03am and wasted no time in despatching a team of five personnel to the scene.

“The caller, a 43-year-old woman, told us that her pet dog was stuck in the front gate of the house,” he said.

The operation to release the canine took about 10 minutes.

The pet safe and sound in the hands of its owner.
