KUCHING: Amanah Saham Sarawak Berhad (ASSB), which manages the Amanah Saham Sarawak (ASSAR) unit trust fund, has released the ASSAR Annual Report online for the year ending June 30, 2023.
In a statement today, ASSB’s CEO, Norlia Madon, announced that unit holders can now view the annual reports online from August 30, 2023, at www.assar.com.my.
She said that unit holders were informed about this new online communication method in early August 2023.
However, for those who prefer hard copies, they can request them either at the ASSB Kuching office or by emailing toassar@assar.com.my.
Norlia emphasised that ASSAR has transitioned from an equity fund to a fixed income fund. It now focuses on investing at least 70 per cent of its net asset value (NAV) in fixed income instruments, money market instruments, and deposits, with up to 30 per cent in equities. This strategy aims to offer consistent income and potential investment growth to its holders.
She assured that the buy-back price of a unit will always be at least RM1.00 during a set Guaranteed Period.
She also urged all ASSAR unit holders to update their records. Forms titled “Borang Kemaskini Maklumat Pelabur Individu” and “Borang Penyelenggaraan Maklumat Korporat” should be sent back using the provided prepaid envelope.
This data update is in line with ASSB’s efforts to comply with the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing, and Proceeds of Unlawful Activity Act 2001.
Lastly, she reminded unit holders to reach ASSAR via their mobile number, 019-346-1433, since the main line, 082-231433, is currently under maintenance.
