MIRI:  Free health screening “Sihat Sarawakku’ programme in Kampung Muhhibah Kuala Baram on Saturday, received an overwhelming response from the villagers.

More than 50 villagers of Kampung Muhibbah ,Kuala Baram participated in the event which was held at its community hall.

The programme was launched by Minister of Transport Sarawak cum Senadin assemblyman Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin.

Initiated by Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Senadin branch, Lee said, they are planning to extend the programme to nine other areas under the Senadin constituency within this month.

“Due to overwhelming response we received today, the programme would be expanded to other areas under the Senadin constituency,” Lee said when launching the programme.

Areas involved in the programme were Kampung Masjid, Kampung Batu 1, Tudan phase 6, Tudan phase 2, Kampung Tanjung Batu, Kampung Pengkalan Lutong, Kampung Lopeng, Kampung Lopeng Tengah, Kampung Lembah Hijau

Lee believed that the programme could instil greater health awareness among the people of the importance of having good health.

There are several types of health screening provided, namely blood pressure screening, blood and urine test, physical examination , body mass index , body composition and eye test.
