Baleh Saberkas, Jamit donate food items to Covid-19 enforcement teams

KAPIT: Baleh Saberkas and Bukit Goram assemblyman Jefferson Jamit Unyat donated food and drinks to frontliners enforcing the movement control order here yesterday.

Representing Jamit were staff of Kapit PBB Service Centre and Bukit Goram led by Cochran Amos and SDNU Youth chief Judson Jarrau.

Baleh Saberkas was led by its chairman Nicholas Kudi Jantai, a political secretary to the Chief Minister.

On hand to receive the items was Kapit District Council secretary Jabang Juntan.

The items included noodles, assorted cakes, mineral water and soft drinks. The agencies that received the donations were the Covid-19 enforcement teams of Kapit District Council, Kapit Hospital, Health Department and the police checkpoint teams.

Earlier, SDNU Youth Wing also donated items such as bottled drinking water, biscuits and energy drinks.

Accompanying Judson were several committee members of the SDNU Youth Wing include its adviser Councillor Joseph Jarrau.

Meanwhile, Kapit Chinese Chamber of Commerce also got in on the act, donating 20 boxes of drinking water to the police on Wednesday.
