SADONG JAYA: The mosques and suraus here received an allocation totalling RM64,000 under the constituency.

The presentation of the allocation was handed over by Batang Sadong MP Rodiyah Sapiee during the handover ceremony held at the Sadong Jaya Community House recently.

Ten mosques each received RM3,000, while 17 suraus each received RM2,000 each.

Rodiyah said a similar allocation will be channelled to the respective Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) after the allocation for the second phase is received.

“The allocation for parliamentarians is only RM1 million a year and RM500,000 for the first phase needs to be distributed to the three state assemblies equally and prudently.

“For all mosque and surau committees that have yet to have a bank account, they have been advised to open one so that the allocation can be channelled to the association’s bank account,” she said.
