SIBU: A total of 232 stalls have been set up at Dataran Tuanku Bujang Fasa 2 in conjunction with the Borneo Cultural Festival Sales and Exhibition Expo (BCF TRADEX) from July 8 to July 23.

Its coordinator, Ling Hua Wee said that BCF TRADEX is a good platform for youngsters to venture into business.

“Actually, this is the right time … the majority of them (traders) are youngsters.

Some of them started their business during the MCO (movement control order), it’s time for them to come and take this (BCF TRADEX) as a platform for them to promote their business and more people will get to know them,” he said.

Meanwhile, Sibu Municipal Council (SMC) Deputy Chairman, Bujang Abdul Majid, said response from young entrepreneurs has been very encouraging.

In his speech at the opening on July 8, he said that TRADEX was a big part of BCF years ago, and that having TRADEX in BCF is essential to help local entrepreneurs get exposed to a larger audience.
