SRI AMAN: Padiberas Nasional Berhad (BERNAS) distributed a total of 300 packs of ‘bubur lambuk’ (savoury porridge) at Pasar Tamu Simanggang Ramadan Bazaar here recently.

According to Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS) Special Advisor at the office of the Premier Datuk Seri Rohani Abdul Karim, the distribution of ‘bubur lambuk’ was carried out to liven up the spirit of the public in the month of Ramadan.

“We held a ‘bubur lambuk’ distribution programme with the BERNAS Club and were able to prepare 300 packages of ‘bubur lambuk’ to be distributed at the most strategic location, which is at the Pasar Tamu Simanggang Ramadan Bazaar.

“Through this programme, we brought some joy to the community here and the porridge will be one of their dishes for their breaking of fast,” she said when met by the media after event.

Earlier, Rohani also distributed food baskets to selected ‘asnaf’ (needy) groups in Kampung Lingga, Kampung Hulu and Kampung Hilir Simanggang to ease the burden of the recipients.
