KUCHING: Motorcycle lovers of all ages are invited to attend the ‘Kawasaki Grand Opening: Ride Together With Kawasaki’ event on Saturday, Jan 20.

Kawasaki Kuching opened their doors in May last year and aims to gather members of the public to join in the various activities organised for the event such as colouring contest, motorshow, ‘kitak masak apa’ (what will you be cooking?), and ‘bertandak bermukun’ (traditional Malay dance).

Abang Sayyidi Qairulzaman Abang Sapali, Kawasaki Kuching’s digital marketing manager said the event itself and the activities organised on the day are free of charge.

“The event’s objective is to gather all the motorcycle enthusiasts because in Kuching there aren’t many motorcycle gatherings.

“Therefore, since it is still the start of 2024, we wish to revive the year by organising this event, early bird registrations from Jan 11 until 19, will receive free merchandise limited towards 500 participants only,” he told a press conference at Kawasaki Kuching branch store on Thursday.

He added that the event would begin at 9 am until 6 pm, however the event’s launching segment would only begin at 2 pm on the same day.

“At the event, we would be featuring legendary Kawasaki motorcycles, as a way to celebrate the 40 years anniversary of Kawasaki being established in Malaysia.

“Besides that, local artistes and hosts, Fir Affandi, Natasha Juan and Zah Amirul will also be at the event to welcome and entertain motorcyclists enthusiasts,” he said.

Also expected to be at the event are Lau Kin Tay, director of Kawasaki Kuching; Roslan Roskan, chief executive officer (CEO) Kawasaki Malaysia and Yusaku Kashiwagi, chief marketing officer of Kawasaki Malaysia.
