KUCHING: The Federation of Kuching and Samarahan Divisions Chinese Associations Youth Section, Sarawak (Federation of Chinese Youth), Wang (Ong) Clan Association of Kuching and Samarahan, Sarawak and Malaysian Red Crescent Society Kuching District will be organising a blood donation drive.
The event is scheduled to be held on Sunday (Sept 26) from 9am to 2pm at the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) Blood Bank.
“This campaign is also in collaboration with the Federation of Ong (Wang) Clan Associations Malaysia where all affiliates will be holding this event on the same day nationwide.
“The campaign is supported by Blood Bank SGH in response to the call by SGH for more blood supply as well as to create awareness among the public that giving blood saves lives,” it said on Wednesday (Sept 22).
“Many thanks to SGH Blood Bank for providing the venue and to the three major sponsors, namely Lee Onn Group of Companies, Hock Peng Organisation and Life Cafe, for their generous support.
“Each successful donor will walk away with margarine sponsored by Syarikat Kion Hoong Cooking Oil Mills Sdn Bhd, biscuits sponsored by Choon Hua Trading Corporation Sdn Bhd, diary milk sponsored by Supreme Food Supply (M) Sdn Bhd, meal coupons and white sugar sponsored by Taiwan Siau Jou and Mr Ng.
“And face towels by Affin Hwang Capital Asset Management, ice-cream by Wish Dairies (M) Sdn Bhd, beverages by Fairland Hidden Bar and snacks by Pico Food Industry Sdn Bhd.
