MIRI: A Brunei women’s organisation spent the weekend on business matching and learning sessions as part of their study cum business networking tour here.

The programme involved the Federation of Sarawak Women’s Association Miri/Bintulu branch led by Halifah Mohamad and Sharifah Zuridah Wan Hill and  the Brunei Darussalam Women Entrepreneurs Association led by Hammah Puasa.

The business matching session with some local entrepreneurs saw Brunei entrepreneurs witnessing the process of making local products such as Sri Kaya and Kek Lapis Premium.

The group also visited the Siti Payung’s Sarawak Layer Cake Gallery, where they  learned  the techniques of the layer cake making.

Some of the Brunei entrepreneurs expressed interest in becoming agents to market this brand in the sultanate.

Also present with the group was Sarawak Federation of Women’s Institutes (PPWS) Miri/Bintulu branch manager Sofiani Usop.
