BAU: The construction of the Kampung Apar bypass road and the Bailey bridge at Sungai Adis, here is expected to be completed in August 2024.

Deputy Infrastructure and Port Development Minister Aidel Lariwoo said the project evaluation thus far is satisfactory.

“According to the assessment by the Public Works Department (PWD), the physical progress of the project is at 12.96 per cent which is in line with the set schedule planning.

“So, we expect full commitment from the agencies involved including developers and contractors so that it can be completed as early as August next year,” he said after visiting the construction site here on Monday (Mar 6).

He said once the construction of the road and bridge is completed, it will benefit the people residing at the nearby villages here (Kampung Apar, Kampung Barieng and Kampung Segong).

Aside from that, he believed this RM14 million project of 8.2 kilometers of road will open another tourism hub in the area.
