PUSA: Saribas assemblyman Mohd Razi Sitam called for a review of the cost of project implementation under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP).
He echoed this sentiment following various complaints received in view of the increase in the prices of building materials.
“The rising cost of building materials has affected the implementation of projects with some experiencing delays.
“Therefore, the cost of each development project, especially RTP, should be reviewed,” he said after visiting a RTP project at Kampung Supa here recently.
Meanwhile, he said a total of RM200,000 was spent for the construction of lanes at Kampung Supa.
During his visit, he was briefed on the status of the sewer project that experienced problems due to the contractor failing to complete the project.
He was made to understand that a follow-up action would be taken against the contractor.
He hoped that the project could be fully completed before the end of the year.
