SIBU: A man was seriously injured when the motorcycle he was riding was involved in a collision with a car at Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman here, yesterday (Feb 16).
Sibu district police chief ACP Zulkipli Suhaili said that in the incident which happened around 3 pm, the victim, the 33-year-old Food Panda rider suffered serious injuries on his face and head.
“The accident occurred when the car driven by a 58-year-old local man made a U-turn and crashed into the victim who was travelling from the opposite road,” he said today.
The victim received treatment at the Sibu Hospital.
Police are investigating the case under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
