SIBU: A car crashed and turned turtle at the roadside drain at Jalan Sungai Bidut at about 7 am today.
Concerned about the safety of the driver and any passengers, members of the public promptly notified the Fire and Rescue Department personnel about the incident.
Upon reaching the scene, the firefighters discovered that neither the driver nor the passenger(s) were inside or in the vicinity of the vehicle.
This was the situation faced by firefighters on Thursday morning, as described by Fire and Rescue Department Zone 4 chief Andy Alie.
“Upon arrival, the firefighters found the car in a ditch. We conducted an inspection; however, nobody was found inside the car,” he said.
Andy said that after confirming there were no victims inside the car, the teams subsequently returned to the station.
At press time, the mystery continues as Bomba is still clueless as to who the driver was.
