KUCHING: More software programmes such as Microsoft programmes will be the main focus of the Institution of Centre of Excellence (Centex) for the digital industry in Sarawak.

Its chief executive officer Syeed Mohd Hussein Wan Abdul Rahman shared that it is aligned with the benefits of those platforms that influence the routine of the work in the society.

“We want the community to be exposed with such programmes that are related to data; thus, it is made possible to translate it into something that is valuable,” he said.

He also added that data management is important because it has some of the advantages especially in easing the related work process.

“The usage of data sciences can also change the perceptions towards things that are more accurate and much better,” he added during the press conference for the launching of International Digital Economy Conference Sarawak at Centex building in Santubong, Kuching yesterday.

“Our people also collaborated with some of the biggest players in the tourism industry in the world for our campus that is located in Lundu,” he shared.

He then revealed the tourism model that they have at the moment is different compared to the current model.

“That being said, the new technology of tourism that we have apart from oil and gas technology will soon be shared once it arrives there,” said Syeed.
