KUCHING: The Sarawak General Hospital’s pediatric wards recently were filled with smiles and excitement as children received special Christmas presents.
National Consumer Action Council (MTPN) Sarawak branch president Wynson Ong Teck Ping said the generous donation of 131 gift sets was a joint initiative by the MTPN Sarawak branch and Yayasan Masyarakat Lestari Malaysia (YMLM) Sarawak. This act of kindness was part of their annual charity programme, specifically organised to celebrate the Christmas season.
Additionally, the charity programme extended its reach by distributing 68 sets of essential daily items, educational stationery, books, and uniquely designed Christmas cakes to children affiliated with the Salvation Army.
Furthermore, the collaboration between MTPN and YMLM didn’t stop there. They extended their goodwill by also distributing Christmas goodies to various other non-governmental organisations (NGOs), spreading the holiday spirit across the community.
