MIRI: Introducing ‘Children’s Day Blood Donation’ campaign, an event organised by the Malaysian Red Crescent, Miri district, Blood Donor Recruitment Committee (BDRC) and the Moving Communities team will be held here, tomorrow.

The blood donation campaign will take place at the Miri Red Crescent Training Institue at Jalan Bulan Sabit Merah. Registration counters will be open from 8.30am till 1pm.

Successful donors will receive a certificate of appreciation via post, five facemasks and served with refreshments.

The Co-Organising Chairmans for this event is Karambir Singh and Susan Supang.

“We hope potential donors realise that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the number of donors has understandably dropped due to concerns of safety,” said Karambir.

However, the need for blood is always there, so please do donate as all SOP’s will be followed at the Blood Bank and Miri Red Crescent, he opined.

Karambir, the deputy chairman of the BDRC thanked all committed organisations who have been coming forward during these challenging times for their effort and contributions.
