KUCHING:  China Energy Engineering Corporation has expressed its willingness to work with Sarawak to strengthen the latter’s energy sector.

Its Southeast Asia regional headquarters president Zhang Deliang and his delegation paid a courtesy call on Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg today.

Zhang said China has green energy technology which prioritises sustainable aspects that can be used in Sarawak.

“With our energy technology from China, we can support the Sarawak government in achieving its green technology development plan. I believe that the big ambitions of Sarawak’s leaders can be achieved in the future.

“We can cooperate in research and technology as well as help in the aspects of sustainable construction and maintenance,” he said when met by reporters after the courtesy visit.

Zhang said Sarawak has great potential in the use of sustainable technology because it has hydroelectric dams and a government that has strong and clear policies.
