KUCHING: The Unit for Other Religions (UNIFOR) has allocated RM1,000,000 to St Ann’s Church, Kota Padawan to support its building fund.
Batu Kitang assemblyman Datuk Lo Khere Chiang said the allocation will help the church to continue its mission of providing a welcoming and inclusive space for all members of the community.
Lo presented the mock cheque to the church’s rector, Friar Don Don Ramerez and witnessed by Archbishop of Kuching Archdiocese Simon Poh, today.
“We are grateful for the support of UNIFOR and their commitment to promoting interfaith harmony and understanding.
“This donation is a testament to the power of collaboration and the positive impact that can be achieved when we work together towards a common goal.
“We look forward to continuing our partnership and working together to build a brighter future for all,” said Lo in a statement.
