KUCHING: Deputy Minister for Energy and Environmental Sustainability Dr Hazland Abang Hipni received a courtesy visit from The Clean Air Forum Society of Malaysia (MyCAS) here last Friday (Aug 6).

The visit, which was also attended by Sarawak Convention Bureau (BESarawak) and Sarawak Natural Resources and Environmental Board (NREB), was done in order to express the wish on behalf of MyCAS to establish a strategic cooperation with the Ministry of Energy and Environmental Sustainability of Sarawak for the Asian Aerosol Conference, which will be held in Kuching sometime in 2024.

Dr Noor Zaitun Yahaya, who is the president of MyCAS, said MyCAS was a non-governmental organisation set up to tackle the issue of air quality within the international stage.

“MyCAS has also made valuable contributions in promoting better air quality through wide consultation and experiences, capacity and expertise, sharing information and knowledge, research and publishing, promoting dialogue, and the support for better air quality and healthier country to live in.”
