KUCHING: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg and his wife are inviting members of the public to their Hari Raya open house at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK).
The open house will be held on the first day of Raya (today) and tomorrow (June 6) from 10am till 4pm.
“This open house tradition has long been practiced in Sarawak, and it must be continued and preserved,” he said in his Hari Raya message yesterday.
He then called upon the people to uphold the peace and maintain the good relationship among the multiracial society.
“Nothing is more beautiful when happiness, prosperity, and harmony can be enjoyed by the people in Sarawak and Malaysia generally.”
Meanwhile, the Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud and his wife will also be hosting an open house at the Astana Negeri.
For the first day of Raya, it will be held from 10.30am to 12.30pm, and continue from 2.30pm till 4.30pm.
Whereas, for tomorrow (June 6), the open house will be held from 10am to 12.30pm.
