SIMANGGANG: The electrical supply for Kampung Muhibbah’s Multipurpose Hall has been upgraded from single phase to three-phase to improve convenience for the community.

Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation, and Talent Development, Datuk Francis Harden Hollis, said that the multipurpose hall has been equipped with two air conditioning units.

“I have also approved a request for five fire extinguishers for the five Village Development and Security Committees (JKKK) in Kampung Muhibbah, including the Multipurpose Hall. However, before these fire extinguishers are handed over, the Fire Department will be invited to provide a briefing and demonstration on how to use them,” he said at the Community Development Programme organised by the Sri Aman District Office (MDSA) at the Kampung Muhibbah multipurpose hall on Saturday.

Harden also agreed to allocate a Minor Rural Project (MRP) grant for the year 2024, totalling RM8,000 to JKKK Eh John Elie, Kampung Sabu, and an additional RM5,000 to its Women’s Bureau.

Regarding the programme, Harden expressed his gratitude to MDSA for organising the event and collaborating with JKKK as co-organisers, contributing to the programme’s success.

“I extend my thanks and appreciation to MDSA for successfully organising several community cleanup series. The aim of these programmes is to encourage community involvement in maintaining environmental cleanliness, as well as to inform about available services.

“Furthermore, the programmes provide a platform for me to visit and interact with local residents, address their concerns, and seek solutions. Finding solutions becomes easier when the community trusts and supports Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) without division,” he said.
