BALINGIAN: A total of 22 units of Permata Spectra Homes (RSP) will be built by the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) here to meet the needs of the people in this area.

HDC chairman Abdul Yakub Arbi said the project would be built via the Village Expansion Scheme (SPK) under the Department of Land and Survey (JTS) Mukah.

“The construction of these RSP units is necessary to meet the people’s demand for affordable housing in Balingian.

“In addition, the cost of the Balingian RSP amounts to RM10,312,526.50,” he said.

He said this during the Site Handover Ceremony for RSP SPK Balingian at the RSP SPK Balingian Site, Mukah, here, on Tuesday.

He added that construction work would begin as soon as the site handover ceremony was completed.

In this regard, Yakub, who is also the Balingian assemblyman, informed that the Sarawak government has never failed to implement programmes or plans that had been already announced.

“Although it may take some time, the government still implements them for the people in this state.

“RSP is evidence of the Sarawak government’s assistance to low-income groups, especially in rural areas, to own residential homes through SPK,” he added.

Also present were Mukah Division Resident Kueh Lei Poh and Acting Mukah District Officer Peleadzman Ahip.
