MIRI: Members of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Piasau branch have been reminded to continue upholding unity and discipline as these are crucial elements for the party.
“These two are the important ‘pulse’ for the party that could help strengthening PBB not only in Piasau branch but other branches across Sarawak,” said Minister for Utility and Telecommunication Datuk Julaihi Narawi who is also PBB vice president.
Julaihi told this at the launching of PBB Piasau triennial delegates meeting in Miri yesterday.
He added, to stay as the backbone party in Sarawak, PBB must set a good example to its other component parties within the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS).
“PBB is an inclusive political party that represents all races, and its landslide win in 12th State election last year reflected the rakyat’s strong support to the political party for continuous stability,” said the Sebuyau assemblyman.
Julaihi added, under the leadership of the Sarawak Premier, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, the government is pushing Sarawak into a greater growth especially in digital economy.
Earlier that day, in the morning, Julaihi also launched PBB Senadin triennial delegates meeting.
Also present at the launching were Sibuti Member of Parliament (MP) YB Lukanisman Awang Sauni, political secretary to the Premier of Sarawak Sarkawi Suhaili, PBB Piasau branch chairman Councillior Sardon Zainal and PBB Senadin chairman Julaihi Mohamad.
More than 100 delegates from PBB Piasau also attended the event.
