KUCHING: A couple was arrested for suspected involvement in substance abuse in a house at Kampung Haji Baki here.
Padawan district police chief Supt Aidil Bolhassan said the man was aged 31 and the woman, 37.
“The man is from Johor and the woman, a local from Matang. They were arrested by a team from Padawan Police Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department (NCID) during an Ops Covid-19 patrol.
“A search on the couple found nothing illegal on them. However, they tested positive for methamphetamine and amphetamine,” he said.
The couple will be investigated under Section 15 (1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
