Deputy minister donates 17 cows to Demak Laut villages

KUCHING: Deputy Minister of Energy and Environmental Sustainability (MEESTY) Dr Hazland Abang Hipni donated 17 cows as sacrificial meat to 17 villages within the Demak Laut constituency.

The donation took place during the “Majlis Penyerahan Daging Korban” held in the constituency this year.

Symbolic meat presentations took place at three selected locations by Dr Hazland, who is also the Demak Laut assemblyman. The presentations were held at Darul Hajat Mosque in Kampung Tabuan SPC, Pengkalan Balang, and Darul Ehsan Mosque in Kampung Sejingkat Hulu.

The sacrificial meat distribution at Darul Hajat Mosque, Kampung Tabuan SPC, was attended by representatives from Kampung Tabuan Hilir, Tabuan Lama, Tabuan Tengah, Tabuan Dani, Tabuan SPC, Kampung Muhibah, and Tanjung Bako.

At Pengkalan Balang, the sacrificial meat was handed over to the village chief of Kampung Semilang, the chief of Kampung Beradek Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) branch, along with the respective Village Committee Members (AJK).

Meanwhile, the sacrificial meat distribution at Darul Ehsan Mosque, Kampung Sejingkat Hulu, saw the presence of representatives from Kampung Sejingkat Hulu, Sejingkat Hilir, Pine Villa, Bako Lot, Bako Hijrah, Selabat, and Sungai Bako.

The slaughtering process was carried out at the Livestock Breeding Centre in Siburan.

All the sacrificial meat was distributed to eligible recipients (asnaf) and the residents of the 17 villages under the Demak Laut constituency.
