“In addition, they can find agents, distributors or stockists through the concept of business matching (Business Matching).

Martin launches the Sarawak Department of Agriculture Farmers’ Carnival at Mydin Vista Tunku.

“At the same time, programmes like this also ensure they remain competitive and guarantee their business continuity.”

Martin said this when he launched the Sarawak Agriculture Department’s Farmers’ Carnival at Mydin Vista Tunku here today.

The Kedup assemblyman hoped all the participants would continue to improve the quality of their products and packaging in order to remain competitive.

“These matters need to be taken into account in order to penetrate the markets in Peninsular Malaysia and abroad.

“I hope and trust the Department Agriculture will continue to provide guidance and advices to our entrepreneurs,” he said.

The carnival from Dec 9 to Dec 11 was attended by 45 participants from the regional Farmers’ Organisations, agro-food entrepreneurs, inland fisheries entrepreneurs, Sarawak State Farmers’ Organisation and the Sarawak Agricultural Institute.
