LUBOK ANTU: The Lubok Antu District Council (MDLA) contingent vowed to create a surprise at the Mini Local Authority Sports Carnival.

The sports carnival will take place in Sri Aman from Aug 31 to Sept 3.

Team manager Alvin Julin said the MDLA contingent aims to give their best in every event they participate in.

“We are determined to give our best in every event we participate in during the four days of the carnival.

“At the same time, we want to surprise our counterparts with our skills in sports,” he said.

MDLA will send entries for men’s and women’s futsal, men’s and women’s badminton, netball, darts and volleyball.

Alvin expressed his satisfaction with the support of all the players who have trained for two weeks before the tournament.

He also expects that the selected players will show high sportsmanship and give success, even though they are not considered to be the chosen team, but with the sportsmanship MDLA players will give competition to other participating teams.
