‘Abang Johari 101 Perspective’ published in English and Malay.

KUCHING: For the first time in Malaysia, a book that brings together diverse thoughts and expressions of individuals from various backgrounds and professions on Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg has been published.

Titled ‘Abang Johari 101 Perspectives’, this engaging collection, spanning 204 pages, compiles comments, quotes, and perspectives from 101 individuals across the nation.

These voices from people from all walks of life share their views on Abang Johari’s leadership, policies, and initiatives throughout his seven-year tenure as the Premier.
It consists of quotes from ordinary citizens to top leaders of the state and country.

The contributors include political leaders, analysts, diplomats, economic experts, editors, cultural figures, community leaders, businesspeople, and many others.

It also includes perspectives from the Head of State, Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, and state and national cabinet leaders.

The book was published by a senior fellow of the National Council of Professors, Datuk Dr Jeniri Amir, in conjunction with the celebration of the seventh anniversary of Abang Johari’s tenure as the Premier of Sarawak.

As an editor of the book, Dr Jeniri said the carefully chosen quotes reflect not only the essence and wisdom of Abang Johari’s political journey but also the dynamic thinking and principled stance he brings to his policies and initiatives.

“These quotes, often simple yet astonishing, vibrant, and impactful, capture the spirit of Abang Johari’s leadership.

“Their opinions provide deep insights into their perspectives on the Premier’s leadership in making Sarawak a high-income advanced state by 2030,” he said.

Dr Jeniri, who has extensively written about politics and produced over 50 books and more than 3,000 articles across various fields and genres, expressed his hope that the book would serve as an inspiring source for readers to gain a deeper understanding of Abang Johari’s policies and initiatives.

Describing Abang Johari as a futuristic, pragmatic, and dynamic leader of Sarawak, Dr Jeniri envisions the book as a valuable resource that resonates with readers, providing insights into the commitments of Abang Johari.

“Thanks to the sources who have shared their valuable thoughts and comments. May their perspectives serve as guiding lights for Sarawak’s journey towards a brighter and more competitive future,” he said.

Dr Jeniri, who is also a political analyst, mentioned that the book is published in two languages, English and Malay, and is available for readers nationwide.

“The interesting aspect of this book is that the perspectives are presented concisely and compactly, accompanied by relevant images,” he added.

Previously, Dr Jeniri has published four books that document quotes and words of wisdom from Abang Johari.

The book covers various issues and fields that have been Abang Johari’s focus and interest since becoming the Premier of Sarawak in 2017.
