Donation campaign to replenish blood bank

KUCHING: A blood donation campaign and free health screening programme will be held this coming Saturday.

Jointly organised by the National Kidney Foundation and Malaysian Red Crescent Stampin Branch, the programme will be held at Vivacity Megamall from 10 am to 2 pm, and the aim is to save lives and prevent blood shortage at the Blood Bank, Sarawak General Hospital (SGH)

“At the same time, to promote good health and well-being for all in our community, there will be free health screening such as body mass index, waist circumference, urine test, blood glucose,, cholesterol, blood sugar and counselling conducted by the National Kidney Foundation,” Malaysian Red Crescent said in a press release.

On the day of the event itself, there will be goodies bags to be given to successful blood donors. For any enquiries, contact Wendy Tan at 019-8182244.
