KUCHING: Over 2,000 packs of porridge were distributed to residents around Kuching city in conjunction with the Drive-Thru@RTM 2023 event yesterday.

Sarawak Broadcasting director Nasrul Hakim Md. Noh said that this was the third year they have organised such programme.

“Last year, we had the opportunity to donate spicy porridge, but this year we only distributed over 2,000 packs of lambuk porridge,” he said.

He added that the programme was held in conjunction with the 77th anniversary of RTM, aimed at strengthening the camaraderie between RTM Sarawak staff, departments under the Ministry of Communications and Digital, strategic partners, agencies and the local community.

“In addition, it is hoped that this programme can raise awareness among the public about the importance of the Malaysia Madani spirit, based on six main pillars, which are keMapanan (Sustainability), kesejAhteraan (Wellbeing), Daya Cipta (Innovation), hormAt (Respect), KeyakiNan (Integrity), and Ihsan (Compassion),” he said.
