KUCHING: A local man’s second day of Hari Raya took an unexpected turn this morning (Apr 11) when he was injured in a car crash along Jalan Sultan Tengah.
The accident happened around 8.28am when the Proton Iswara had skidded and crashed into a street lamp post.
Firefighters from Petra Jaya station was deployed to the scene after receiving a distress call.
Upon arrival, they found that the 42-year-old was injured in his seat and rescue works was performed to assist the victim out of the wrecked vehicle.
The victim, who sustained injuries to his right rib, received initial treatment from paramedics on-site before being transported to the hospital for further medical attention.
The operation concluded at 8.53am once the situation was deemed safe.
