SRI AMAN: A man died on the spot after his pick-up truck crashed and overturned in a ditch at Kampung Gran E, Stumbin here.
Firefighters from the Sri Aman station were dispatched to the location, about 25km from the station after receiving a distress call around 7.10pm yesterday (June 13).
Upon arrival, the team confirmed that the accident happened at a narrow stretch heading towards a farm.
As the fire engine could not enter the road, the team had to walk to the location about 1km away.
At the crash site, the team found the driver pinned to the seat and had to extricate the victim with the help from residents.
The victim, identified as Choo Jun Chiew, 51, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
