KUCHING: Police have arrested two men for allegedly damaging a smart digital parking lock, solar and Internet cables at MJC, Batu Kawa last Monday (Dec 14).

Padawan police chief Supt Aidil Bolhassan said the arrests were made after a police report was lodged on Dec 9 by a 32-year-old man.

On that day (Dec 9) around 12.30pm, the complainant found that in front of his shop, his vehicle’s smart digital parking lock had been opened and thrown away by the suspect.

“Days later on Dec 12, the complainant lodged another police report after finding the solar and Internet cables located on the top floor of the building were damaged around 6pm.

“Following the reports, both suspects, aged 29, were arrested around 2.45pm at Batu Kawa police station by a Padawan CID team last Monday (Dec 14).

“Also seized were a plyer and a crowbar. Background checks found that one of them had a past record related to theft,” said Aidil.
