KOTA SAMARAHAN: A Perodua Myvi caught fire at Institut Latihan Perindustrian (ILP) in Kampung Binyuk here this morning (Nov 11).
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre said a distress call regarding the incident was received at 6.35am, prompting a swift response from the Kota Samarahan station.
“Upon arrival, firefighters found the vehicle, located in front of the Malaysian Cocoa Board building on ILP premises, fully engulfed in flames,” it said today.
The Fire Department employed the RECEO method for firefighting, initially inspecting the vehicle for any potential casualties.
Subsequently, they deployed a water supply line to draw water from the FRT Scania tank, effectively extinguishing the remaining fire.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation and no casualties were involved.
