SEMATAN: The people here have been urged to give their full cooperation to rabies eradication efforts in the state.
Lundu district office Gustian Durani said all parties must work together in stopping the spread of the disease.
“We must play our part and work together to stop the spread of the disease (rabies),” he said at the closing of a Rabies Disease Awareness programme at Rumah Panjang Kampung Pueh here, yesterday.
The programme was jointly organised by State Information Department, State Veterinary Department and State Health Department.
He also advised the people to avoid dogs to reduce the risks of being bitten.
Most rabies patients in the state were infected through dog bites.
