MIRI: An elderly woman sustained injuries to her legs when a lorry driven by her husband collided with a lorry trailer during the wee hours on Saturday at Taman Tunku.
Seven firemen from the Miri Fire and Rescue Department were immediately despatched to the scene after receiving the emergency call at 1.06am.
It took them less than 20 minutes to remove the 69-year-old victim out of the vehicle.
Meanwhile, her husband and the driver of the lorry trailer were unharmed.
However, it was not immediately known the actual cause of the accident as police are still investigating.
The woman was rushed to Miri hospital.
