EMCO for two longhouses, primary school in Tanjung Manis

KUCHING: Two longhouses and a primary school in Tanjung Manis district will be placed under the enhanced movement control order (EMCO) effective on Thursday (May 27).

The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), in a statement today, said that the EMCO would be enforced at Rh Isa Blone, Rh Ben Kuleng and SK Telok Gelam until June 9.

It also declared the end of the EMCO at Rh Jelendai, Kampung Lipat, Skrang in Sri Aman district and Kampung Bako Hilir in Kuching district today (May 25).

The committee added that the EMCO at Rh Empading, Bunu Skrang in Sri Aman would be extended until June 6.

SDMC added Tanjung Manis and Tatau districts had turned red after recording a total of 46 and 58 new Covid-19 cases respectively.

Meanwhile, Beluru district, which recorded 25 local infection cases in the past 14 days, and Tebedu district, which recorded 38 local infection cases in the past 14 days, have turned orange.

Sarawak now has 24 red districts, three orange districts, 10 yellow districts and two green districts.
